For closed groups of university students, professionals or secondary school students, we offer short German course programmes tailored to the specific needs of each group. Depending on preferred learning goals and dates, we are happy to organise summer or winter courses, as well as similar formats, with a focus on general or specialised language.
In addition to intensive German lessons, these programmes can include other components, such as exam preparation, visits to universities, research institutions or local companies and supplementary cultural and leisure activities.

In addition to intensive German lessons, the programmes can include other components, such as exam preparation, specialist language lessons, visits to universities, research institutions and companies in the region, as well as cultural and leisure activities. We would be happy to put together an offer tailored to the needs of your group.
The programmes are suitable for scondary school pupils (aged 14 and above), university students or professionals who want to improve their German language skills and gain insights into German culture in a short period of time.
Usually, the programme comprises approx. 3-5 German lessons on each working day. In addition, further activities which can be included in the individual programme (e.g. visits to higher education institutions, cultural events, excursions in the region, etc.) take place after class.
We offer German courses at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference, from A1 to C1. It is important that all participants in a group have comparable previous knowledge. If there are significant differences in previous knowledge, it is advisable to divide the group into smaller groups for the lessons. Usually, all participants take a placement test before the course begins to ensure that a suitable course level has been selected.
In order to prepare a non-binding offer, we require information on the number, age and previous knowledge of the participants, the learning objectives of the group and the possible time periods.
The content is adapted to the learners’ previous knowledge and needs, and different areas of focus can be set if required (e.g. improving oral communication skills, or preparing for a specific exam format).
In our courses, we use (digital) textbooks and materials that have proven particularly suitable over our many years of experience. We select appropriate materials depending on the focus of the content and the course level.
Our courses can also cover technical language content for various fields. We have many years of experience in designing appropriate programmes, e.g. in the areas of medicine and nursing, economics, engineering, etc.
In general, all participants who attend classes regularly and successfully will receive a certificate stating the duration of the course, its scope, level, etc. Upon request, additional information can be included in the certificate.
The complementary leisure programme can include a variety of cultural activities such as visits to Aachen Town Hall and museums, social evenings and excursions to places of interest in the region (e.g. to the border triangle Germany-Netherlands-Belgium and to the medieval town of Monschau). We will gladly put together a customised programme, depending to the interests of your group.
Aachen’s proximity to neighbouring EU countries makes it ideal for city trips to Brussels, Amsterdam or Paris, for example. Trips to surrounding German cities such as Cologne or Düsseldorf can also be organised, of course. Prices vary depending on the size of the group and the travel period.
We are happy to assist you with accommodation for your group for the duration of the programme. There are various options depending on the group size, season and planning time. For capacity reasons, we recommend inquiring early.
“Working with Sprachenakademie Aachen was extremely pleasant and smooth, both in the run-up to the programme and during our stay there. Communication was always friendly, efficient and helpful.”
