Naturalisation test

BAMF examination

The naturalisation test serves as proof of knowledge of the legal and social system as well as living conditions in Germany, which is required for naturalisation. It is administered by the BAMF (Federal Office for Migration and Refugees).

To prepare for the naturalisation test, you can use the interactive comprehensive question bank and the sample questionnaire provided by the BAMF.

Exam Structure and Grading

The naturalisation test is a written multiple-choice test and consists of a total of 33 questions. Each question offers four possible answers. The duration of thee test is 60 minutes. The test is considered passed if at least 17 out of 33 questions are answered correctly.

The assessment is conducted centrally by the BAMF, you can check the current processing status on the BAMF website. We will inform you as soon as the results are available.
