Every year, the FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences offers winter courses in German as a foreign language, known as the Aachener Sprachwinter. The courses take place for periods of 4 and 6 weeks in January and February.

Join the Sprachwinter to improve your language skills through intensive German courses and experience everyday life in the European City of Aachen! Aachen is located in western Germany, close to Belgium, the Netherlands  and France, and has about 250,000 inhabitants. In class as well as in our varied cultural and leisure programme, you will get to know the city and its surrounding regions well.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit two of our neighboring countries: On two weekends, we will offer European city trips to the European capitals Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Paris (France). These trips are optional and incur additional fees.

Students can book a room or bed in student accommodation for the duration of the course.

In 2020, the Aachener Sprachwinter will take place during the following periods:

4 weeks course: 6 January – 29 January (accommodation: 5 January – 30 January)
6 weeks course: 6 January – 14 February (accommodation: 5 January – 15 February)
