The didactics seminar “Teaching German as a Foreign Language” is aimed at (prospective) German teachers who would like to enhance their professional development as well as their knowledge of German: During the multifaceted summer course you will receive a lot of inspiration, practice-oriented knowledge and the methodological tools to apply your newly acquired expertise in your own teaching in the future.

Four-weeks advanced training programme for German teachers with teaching experience as well as students of German studies/future German teachers
Part of the “Aachener Sprachsommer”
Daily face-to-face lectures in Aachen
Instruction by experienced, professional lecturers
Final certificate and 5 ECTSECTS

Course structure and requirements for participation

Lectures from Monday through Friday
25 teaching unitsTeaching units:
One teaching unit = 45 minutes per week, 100 teaching units in total
Combination of seminar meetings, teaching observations and expert lectures
Previous knowledge of at least C1About proficiency levels:

Cultural and leisure programme

Examples of activities included in the course fee:
- Social get-togethers
