Examination Centre

With respect to linguistic examinations, Sprachenakademie Aachen is the biggest examination centre in the region and offers a wide range of standardised examination formats acknowledged in Germany as well as internationally. In the fields Deutsch als Fremdsprache (German as a foreign language) as well as English different exams will be carried out on a regular basis in Aachen, frequented by participants of the entire Euregio region as well as the neighbouring areas.

The examination centre mainly offers academic and vocationally oriented examinations as well as relevant preparation courses. For admittance to a German-speaking university, the examination formats Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang  (DSH) of the FH Aachen as well as TestDaF  are appropriate, while the TOEFL (ETS) and IELTS (British Council) are apt for admittance to universities in English-speaking countries. In addition to the exams mentioned above, we also offer the entire examination range of TELC (The European Language Certificates), including tests for integration courses and naturalisation purposes (e.g. DTZ) as well as vocationally oriented formats. All examinations are generally open to the public; admittance is therefore not limited to participants of courses of the Sprachenakademie or to students or applicants of our twinned universities.
