Lodging, Insurance, Handling Formalities
preStep gladly assists our participants in finding accommodation possibilities for the duration of their language courses in Aachen. There are the following options with respect to lodging:
- Single / Twin room in preStep's boarding house (by the week or by the month)
- Single / Twin Rooms in separate apartments (by the month)
- For short stays: a bed in a youth hostel/ hostel/ hotel

In addition to allocation of lodging and accommodation possibilities, preStep also offers the following services:
- Airport transfer
- Support with application for telephone and internet connections
- Support with application for health care and casualty insurance
- Support with administrative errands (e.g. Aliens Department, Registry Office)
- Support with opening a German bank account
Book different service packages online
If you wish to book lodging or one or several of the above mentioned services, you may do so online.
You can chose between 3 service packages. The different packages differ in their scope. Along with the application form you will find detailed information on the content of the individual service packages. You may send the filled-in application form directly online per e-mail; it is considered as a binding booking request. The preStep team will send you a booking confirmation immediately upon reception of a request and will inform you on all terms and conditions.
The fees for the different service packages include lodging agency as well as all additional services indicated, except for the rent for the relevant accommodation chosen.
Due to the fact that looking for an initial accommodation requires a little time in advance, we recommend sending a lodging request at least 5 weeks prior to arrival. Upon available capacities, however, the preStep team may be able to support you on a short term notice.
